It's dual-coated, with a fine hand, and an array of gorgeous colors from pure white to darkest black. You'll find many flocks in the region selecting animals with less dual-coatedness and thus a finer hand, often referred to as 'improved'. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese fleeces are what we'd look for in a Shetland sheep. True to breed, crimp, and sturdiness balanced with fineness. They're grown by a shepherd with so much love for the breed, and it's evident in the quality of the fleeces. It has less loft, but more drape. It's stronger, and blooms less. It's a true fingering weight yarn, so you can definitely use it for traditional Fair Isle or stranded colorwork projects.
