Island Time Lamb

Summer '26 Collection - Small batch yarn at it's finest! This Romney Lamb yarn is grown by sheep on Lopez Island, from hand-selected fleeces, spun at our mill in the Skagit Valley. Island Time...a slower pace, a connection to the land. 3ply sport weight. 

The details:

Chocolate 300 yds / 275 m per 3.5 oz / 100g, deep dark chocolatey brown

Oatmeal 305 yds / 280 per 3.5 oz / 100g, warm heathered taupe

What we love about this yarn: It has an amazing soft hand (lamb fleece is truly a treat!) and a subtle halo. Good drape knit at a looser gauge, definitely next-to-skin-soft, so think hats, cozy sweaters, and best of all...shawls and cowls. Here's a Ravelry link to some pattern ideas. Romney is a longer-staple fiber, typically medium-fine with a bit of luster. 

This truly is small-batch yarn at it's finest: fleeces hand-selected by folks that know what to look for in quality fiber. Lamb fleeces frequently display some tenderness (they get up to a lot of mischief!) so you may see some occasional nepps. Just a subtle reminder of the lively animals that provide us with our beloved fiber.
